After 155 days since its inauguration, the Venezuelan Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai has received more than 500 thousand visitors.
Under the motto “An honorable heritage, a promising future. Venezuela open to the future» the Venezuelan pavilion pays tribute to the Venezuelan indigenous cultures and to the legacy of the great Venezuelan masters of Kinetic Art.
Since its inauguration last October XNUMXst, the welcoming thousand-square-meter pavilion has attracted visitors from many countries, who can enjoy a tour full of light and color that allows them to discover the wonderful human, geographical and cultural heritage of one of the seventeen megadiverse countries on the planet.
As the end of the Expo approaches, interest in visiting the Venezuela Pavilion increases, where long lines form for entry.
Expo 2020 Dubai is the first universal exposition to be held in an Arab country, its doors will be open to the public for six months, culminating on March 30, under the slogan “Connecting minds, creating future”.
With that same spirit, Venezuela has received the visit of more than half a million people and continues to invite attendees of Expo 2020 Dubai, so that they do not miss the opportunity to enter the Venezuela Pavilion, to immerse themselves in this space full of light, color and hospitality in the middle of the desert.
The event exhibits the magnificent human and cultural diversity of the country. In addition, visitors are provided with synthetic information on the country’s most important demographic data.
Next, in the room dedicated to getting to know the territory, attendees have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the spectacular Venezuelan landscapes, which serve as a setting to publicize the most outstanding natural aspects of the country: one of the 17 megadiverse countries in the world , which concentrates 70% of the known animal and plant species, in a territory of around 1 million square kilometers.
Following the path of amazement, attendees are invited to discover the wonderful treasures that Venezuela harbors in natural resources: mineral wealth, hydrographic and energy potential, its main agricultural and livestock products.
From there, a stop is made at the Plaza de la Diversidad, the preferred place for resting, meeting and taking photos; where a work “Chromatic Modules 2020-2021” is exhibited, a tribute to the Venezuelan jungle, from the original by the artist Juvenal Ravelo, master of kinetic art and last living exponent of this manifestation.
At the end of the pavilion tour, large panels present a map with the geographical characteristics of the country and the biography of El Libertador Simón Bolívar: “Wherever Venezuela is, Bolívar will always be.”
Before leaving, visitors present their Expo Passport to receive the stamp of the Venezuela Pavilion, one of the most sought after by collectors.
